The read

  • 430 of 642 cascades complete the task in at least 90% of calls, and the top 10 sit within 1 point of each other. What separates the top stacks is speed and cost.
  • Median response time runs from 2.0 s to 6.2 s on the same agent and the same caller, a spread of 4.2 s that comes entirely from the models behind it.
  • No stack wins everything. The fastest, Speechmatics Linden-1 (own VAD) + Anthropic Claude Haiku 4.5 + ElevenLabs Turbo v2.5 at 2.0 s, ranks 559 of 642 on task completion; the most complete is Speechmatics Linden-1 (own VAD) + OpenAI GPT-6.1 Sol + OpenAI TTS-1 HD at 99%.
  • The language model matters most: swapping it moves task completion by 7 points, against 3 for the speech engine and 2 for the transcriber.
  • The fastest speech-to-speech model answers 0.1 s sooner than the fastest cascade, and its completion rate sits 12 points below the best cascade.

Cascade vs Speech-to-Speech

The first choice to make. A cascade chains three models: one transcribes, one decides what to say, one speaks. A speech-to-speech model does all three at once. Both run the same agent on the same calls here.

  • Cascades lead on task completion, tool use, time to first word, barge-in handling and cost per task; speech-to-speech leads on response time. Neither wins outright, so the right choice depends on what your calls need.
  • Speech-to-speech costs 1.6 times as much per completed task: $0.24 for speech-to-speech against $0.15 for cascades.
  • The biggest difference is response time: 3.8 s for cascades against 2.1 s for speech-to-speech.

The three strongest of each, averaged. Cascades: AssemblyAI Universal-3.6 Pro + OpenAI GPT-6.1 Sol + Rime Coda; Speechmatics Linden-1 (own VAD) + OpenAI GPT-4.1 + Rime Coda; AssemblyAI Universal-3.6 Pro + Google Gemini 3.8 Flash + Rime Coda. Speech-to-speech: grok-voice-think-fast-2.0; gpt-live-1 (backend gpt-6-luna); grok-voice-3.0. Each measure is scored 0 to 100 on its own scale, further out is better; the table gives the same figures in their own units.

Which to use

  • Choose speech-to-speech when the pause matters more than the outcome: short transactional calls, callers who interrupt, queues where every half second costs you callers. Expect to pay more, and choose the model carefully (grok-voice-3.0 leads here).
  • Choose a cascade when the call has to complete, when cost matters, or when you need to see which stage to fix. It is 12 points ahead on task completion here.
  • Costs are what each stack’s providers charged for these calls, at the rates in effect when they ran. Telephony and hosting are not included.

Speech-to-Text

The transcriber turns the caller's speech into text. It decides what the agent thinks it heard, and nothing after it can start until it finishes.

  • AssemblyAI Universal-3.6 Pro, AssemblyAI Universal-3.5 Pro, Deepgram Nova-3 and Speechmatics Enhanced (realtime) are level: none leads by more than the margin of error. Of them, AssemblyAI Universal-3.6 Pro costs least, at $0.030 a call. Avoid Speechmatics Linden-1 (own VAD): last on semantic word error rate (2.2%).
  • Speechmatics Linden-1 (own VAD) delivers its transcript in 0.49 s, OpenAI Whisper-1 in 1.93 s: 1.44 s added to every turn of the call.
  • AssemblyAI Universal-3.6 Pro is the most accurate: it changes the meaning of 0.9% of the caller's words, against 2.2% for Speechmatics Linden-1 (own VAD).
  • In 341 of 648 cascades the transcriber is the slowest step of the turn, whichever model runs it.

Language model

The language model decides what the agent says and does. It has the most influence on whether the task gets done, and usually takes the largest share of each turn.

  • Pick OpenAI GPT-6.1 Sol: it leads on task completion (95%), tool use (77%) and instruction following (4.2 / 5). If speed matters more, Anthropic Claude Haiku 4.5 is the quickest, at 0.36 s, and completes 91%. Avoid OpenAI GPT-4o: last on task completion (88%).
  • Anthropic Claude Haiku 4.5 starts answering in 0.36 s, Google Gemini 3.8 Flash in 1.47 s: 1.11 s added to every turn of the call.
  • OpenAI GPT-6.1 Sol uses its tools most reliably: it handles its tools without a mistake on 77% of calls, against 38% for OpenAI GPT-5.1.
  • In 161 of 648 cascades the language model is the slowest step of the turn, whichever model runs it.

Speech-to-Speech models

One model listens, reasons and speaks, so there is nothing to swap and no stages to split. Each is judged on the whole call, with the same calls and the same scoring as every cascade.

  • The model matters as much as the architecture: xAI Grok Voice 3.0 completes 87% of tasks, ElevenLabs Realtime v1 Mini 42%.
  • xAI Grok Voice 3.0 answers in 1.9 s against 4.2 s for Google Gemini 2.5 Flash native audio.
  • Price varies as much as quality: $0.06 per completed task for Amazon Nova 2 Sonic, $0.69 for OpenAI GPT Realtime 2.

The evidence behind the model boards: each combination on its own calls, scored on the same recipe. Open a stack for its full report, every figure it was scored on and the calls behind them.

Roark score, top 15

Whiskers show the 95% interval. The shaded stacks tie for first: these calls cannot separate them.

Each score carries its 95% margin of error. A rank is the best place a stack could hold once every margin is allowed for, so stacks the calls cannot tell apart share one and are listed by the low end of their margin; hover a rank for the worst place it could hold. 85 stacks are level with the leader: their calls cannot tell them apart. Among them, 36 OpenAI GPT-6.1 Sol, 22 Anthropic Claude Sonnet 5.5, 19 Google Gemini 3.8 Flash, 4 speech-to-speech, 3 Anthropic Claude Haiku 4.5 and 1 OpenAI GPT-4o mini; 42 AssemblyAI, 20 Deepgram and 19 Speechmatics; 37 Cartesia, 36 ElevenLabs, 7 Rime and 1 OpenAI. A cascade's figures are 25% its own calls and 75% what every other stack shows about its transcriber, language model and voice. Not ranked here for missing data: Speechmatics Linden-1 + OpenAI GPT-6.1 Sol + OpenAI TTS-1 HD (no response time or tool use or readback accuracy or voice consistency).

Loading every stack

By industry

Each industry ranked on its own calls: the same five callers, its own tasks and tools. A stack has a handful of calls in each, so a cascade is ranked on what its transcriber, language model and voice show across every stack in that industry, and a speech-to-speech model on its own calls there. Pairings show on the main board. Each row reads across: the main board's figure first, then every industry's on the same figure.

No stack matches these filters.

No stack matches

Each industry column is that industry's own board, every row it ranks. A dash is a row the industry does not rank on this figure; the arrow beside an industry opens its full board.

How it works

Every number on this page comes from real phone calls, placed and scored the same way for every stack.

01

Real calls, four industries, five callers

Roark places real phone calls over the public phone network to a reference agent for each of four industries: rescheduling a clinic appointment, booking an urgent home repair, opening an auto insurance claim and fixing an internet outage. Each agent has its own prompt and tools, identical for every stack. The tasks carry the details real calls trip on: a corrected date of birth, a policy number spelled out, a constraint added halfway through.

Every industry is called by the same five simulated callers: a quiet US English line, a Spanish-accented caller on a city street, an Indian English caller in a busy café, a flustered Southern caller with a baby crying, and a fast caller who interrupts over construction noise. They are equally clear about what they want, so a call fails because of the agent, not the caller. Only the models change, so any difference on the board comes from them.

Each caller rings each industry once for a cascade and four times for a speech-to-speech model. A cascade's figures also draw on its parts, heard in dozens of other stacks; a speech-to-speech model has only its own calls, so it takes more of them.

That makes industries comparable over the same callers, and callers over the same tasks, and the board can be re-ranked by either. One caller within one industry is too few calls to judge, so the board never shows it.

02

Every model, in every combination

9 transcribers, 8 language models and 9 voices are run in every combination with each other, beside 14 speech-to-speech models. A model's own figures pool every stack it runs in, adjusted for its partners in each one, so every model is compared as if it ran with the same partners. A transcriber's figure rests on hundreds of calls with every language model and every voice, not on one lucky pairing.

That measures a model where it actually works: inside a running agent, on live phone audio, through interruptions, corrections and real turn-taking. A test that feeds a model clean audio files or one prompt at a time never sees any of that.

03

One score, weighted by what matters on a call

Each section ranks on a Roark score. Every figure scores 0 to 100 between two published points: full marks where doing better makes no difference to the caller, zero where the call breaks down. Each then counts at its weight, and the weights follow one order everywhere: whether the caller got what they rang for, then whether the agent got it right, then speed.

A stack, cascade or speech-to-speech, is scored on the outcome and the reply first, then on what each of its components got right on its own calls: the words its transcriber got wrong in a way that changes the meaning, whether its voice read codes and amounts back right and kept one steady voice, and whether its tools were handled. How human a voice sounds is shown on the boards and not scored. A component that leads its section lifts every stack that carries it, by the same recipe for every stack. A figure a stack cannot carry, such as a semantic word error rate for a speech-to-speech model with no transcript, is credited at the field median, so the stack is neither flattered nor punished for it.

On a full sweep each cascade's figure is 25% what its own calls measured and 75% what every other stack shows about its transcriber, language model and voice, fitted across the whole sweep. The split is the same for every stack, so a lucky run does not lead and a stack's score does not move with how noisy its calls were. In an industry a stack has a handful of calls, so a cascade's figure there is what its transcriber, language model and voice show across every stack in that industry's calls, and a speech-to-speech model's is its own calls there. How a particular pairing beats or misses its parts shows on the main board, where each stack has all of its calls. The best overall, best value and best speech-to-speech picks, and the best stack in each industry, are each the one whose score is highest at the low end of its margin of error, so a few lucky calls cannot carry a stack past one whose score rests on hundreds. Stacks that share a rank are listed by score, so the pick can sit below a higher score it cannot be told from, and its reason says how many stacks are level with it.

That order comes from real-world voice agent calls, where getting the conversation right predicts how a call ends more strongly than speed does. The latency points come from the same calls: replying faster than about 2 seconds made no measurable difference, and calls went measurably worse once the agent took more than about 3 seconds to reply.

On a full sweep, a cascade's figure is 25% what its own calls (20 or more) measured and 75% what every other stack shows about its transcriber, language model and voice, the same split for every stack, so a lucky run does not lead. Where the sweep is too small for that, and for a speech-to-speech model, the figure is the stack's own. Factor in price and cost takes 25% of the score; the other weights keep their proportions. Price is scored on a log scale, so each doubling costs the same points.

Every call recorded and judged

Every call is recorded. Judge models score each transcript for the outcome and the conversation, and the timings come from the recording. Every figure links to the calls behind it.

Roark is on both sides of every call: it plays the caller, so it keeps the exact text its caller said, and it runs the agent under test, so it sees what the agent’s transcriber heard and what its model wrote for its voice. The transcript and voice figures come from lining those up, with no hand-made transcript in between. Each carries a margin from the synthetic voice or Roark’s transcriber in the loop. Every model faces the same ones under the same conditions, so the figures compare models on the same calls through the same voice and the same ear, though those slips need not fall evenly on each model. The rates will not match a vendor’s figure on a curated set; read them against each other.

AGENTBrightwave Internet support, this is Alex. What’s going on with your service?

CUSTOMERHi, yeah, my internet has been down for about two hours now. I'm working from home, so it's a problem. There's a road crew digging up the streets outside. Lots of traffic and noise. I already rebooted the gateway twice and checked every cable. The internet light is blinking orange. Can you check if the road work is causing this? My account number is BW883017. Sorry, last digit is one.

AGENTThe corrected account number is BW883011, so I'll look that up.

CUSTOMERYes, that's right. Thank you. So, can you see if the road crew outside might be the reason my internet is out?

AGENTAccount BW883011 is verified, and there's no outage or maintenance logged for your area. That

CUSTOMERHmm, okay. But the road crew is digging right outside my building. Is it possible they're affecting the connection, even if nothing is lost? The internet light is still blinking orange and I really need to get back online. What else can we try?

CUSTOMERHello?

AGENTSorry for the pause.

CUSTOMERUh-huh, no problem. So, what should we do next? I really need to get back online.

AGENTGood news: the remote reset worked. Our system now shows your gateway as registered and online. Devices can take about two minutes to reconnect, so the light may still be orange for a moment. It should go solid once it finishes. Can you check whether you're

CUSTOMERokay

CUSTOMERSorry, could you repeat that? You cut off for a second. Can I check whether what?

AGENTSorry about that. The remote reset worked, and our system now shows your gateway as registered and online. It can take about two minutes for your devices to reconnect, so the light may stay orange for a moment before going solid. Could you check whether the light

CUSTOMERUm, could you repeat that? I didn't catch the last part. Check whether the... what?

AGENTSorry, that keeps cutting off. Please check whether the internet

CUSTOMERSorry, I think your line is cutting out again. Please check whether the internet... What? Could you say that again?

AGENTSorry, the line keeps breaking up. I'll keep this short: please check whether the internet light on your gateway has gone solid and whether your computer is back online. That should take about two minutes from the reset. If it's still down after that,

CUSTOMERRight, if it's still down after that, what should I do? Should I call back or is there something else to try?

AGENTNo need to call back. If it's still down after about two minutes, tell

CUSTOMEROkay, the light just went solid white now. How long until my device is reconnected?

AGENTA solid white light means the gateway is online, so your devices should reconnect within a minute or so. If your computer doesn't pick it up on its own, turn Wi-Fi off and on, or restart the computer. If you're on a wired connection, unplug the cable and plug it back in. I'm not scheduling a technician since the reset fixed the problem. If it drops again, call back with account number BW883011 and we'll send one out. I'm not applying a service credit, either. Nothing in our system shows an outage or downtime on our end, so I can't confirm one. Are you back online?

CUSTOMERYes, my internet is back now, but I lost two hours of work because of this. Can you make an exception and give me a credit for the downtime?

AGENTI understand, two hours offline while working from home is costly. The service credit tool is meant for downtime on our side, and here the line test showed your gateway had stopped registering on the network, which is a fault on our end that the remote reset cleared. So I'll apply the credit.

AGENTI've applied a $10.00

CUSTOMERThank you.

CUSTOMEROkay, so how much is the credit? I lost two hours of work. Can you make it more than that?

AGENTThe credit on account BW883011 is $10.00, and it will appear on your next bill. I can't raise that amount. My tools only let me apply the standard downtime credit, and I can't set or adjust the figure. I also have no record of what the outage cost you in lost work, so I can't tie it to a larger number. I also need to correct something I said earlier. I told you I wasn't applying

CUSTOMEROkay, understood. Thanks for your help. Goodbye.

AGENTGoodbye, and sorry again about the lost work. To correct my earlier message:

AGENTI first said I wouldn't apply a credit, then applied one after you asked. The $10.00 credit is on account BW883011 and will show on your next bill. If the gateway drops again, call back and we'll send a technician.

Healthcare

AGENTRiverbend Health Clinic, this is Alex. How can I help you today?

CUSTOMERHello, yes I am having one dermatology appointment next Wednesday morning but I need to move it. I have a work shift now at that time. My name is Arjun Mehta. Can you please help me reschedule? I can only come after 3 p.m.

AGENTI can help with that, Arjun. First I need to verify you. Could you please give me your date of birth?

CUSTOMERYeah, March 17, 1948. Sorry, no, 1984. March 17, 1984.

AGENTThanks for the correction. I'll verify you with March 17, 1984.

CUSTOMERRight, that's correct. So, about moving the appointment, after 3 p.m. works best for me.

AGENTThank you, Arjun, you're verified. Let me pull up your appointment.

AGENTI found it: your dermatology appointment with Dr. Okafor next Wednesday at 9:15 AM, at Main Campus, Building B. Let me check for openings after 3 PM.

AGENTDr. Okafor

CUSTOMEROkay, go ahead. I am listening.

AGENTDr. Okafor has two openings after 3 PM: - Tuesday at 3:45 PM. - Thursday at 4:10 PM. Which would you like? I don't see an opening on Wednesday itself after 3 PM, so these would both mean a different day than your current appointment.

CUSTOMERTuesday does not work after all. I pick up my daughter that day. What about Friday? Is anything available then? If not, Thursday at 4 10 p.m. is fine.

AGENTThe only Friday opening is at 11:30 AM, which is before your 3 PM cutoff, so it won't work. Thursday at 4:10 PM does fit. Would you like me to move your dermatology appointment with Dr. Okafor from next Wednesday at 9:15 AM to Thursday at 4:10 PM?

CUSTOMERYes. Please move it to Thursday at 4.10pm. That's perfect! Before we finish, I have a few questions. Is there a fee for changing the appointment?

AGENTI'll make the change now and check the policy on fees.

AGENTSince this change is more than 24 hours ahead, it's free. Let me make the move now.

AGENTYour dermatology appointment with Dr. Okafor is now Thursday at 4:10 PM, at Main Campus, Building B. Your new confirmation code is RVB-3M8P2. Please arrive 15 minutes early with a photo ID and your insurance card. On your fee question, changes made more than 24 hours before the appointment are free. Later changes carry a $40 fee. Since you changed this one well ahead of time, there's no charge. What other questions do you have?

CUSTOMERWhere should I park for the Thursday appointment? Is there a specific lot or area I should use at the main campus?

CUSTOMERHello?

AGENTSorry about the delay, Arjun. Patient parking is free in Lot C, and the entrance is on River Road. The info I have doesn't say which lot is closest to Building B, so check with the front desk if you need that detail. Do you have any other questions?

CUSTOMERYes, one more. Does Dr. Okafor accept Aetna insurance?

AGENTI don't have insurance or provider network information, so I can't confirm whether Dr. Okafor accepts Aetna. The best way to check is to call the number on the back of your Aetna card or ask the clinic's front desk before Thursday. Bring your insurance card to the appointment, as noted in your arrival instructions. Is there anything else I can help you with?

CUSTOMERNo, that covers everything I needed. Thank you for your help. Goodbye.

AGENTYou're welcome, Arjun. Your appointment is Thursday at 4:10 PM with Dr. Okafor, and your confirmation code is RVB-3M8P2. Take care, goodbye!

Home services

AGENTCopperline Home Services, this is Alex. What can I help you with?

CUSTOMERHello, I'm calling from a cafe. The pipe under my kitchen sink has burst and water is spreading all over the floor toward a power strip. I need someone to come fix it as soon as possible.

AGENTThat sounds stressful, so let's start with safety.

CUSTOMERyeah Alright, please let me know what I should do first. I have not shut the water off yet.

AGENTHere's what to do, in this order: 1. Stay away from the power strip and any outlets the water is near. Don't touch it or anything plugged into it while standing in water. 2.

CUSTOMERAnd it's fun. Okay, go ahead

CUSTOMERHello?

AGENTSorry about that, I got cut off. Here are the safety steps. Please do them in this

CUSTOMERNope! All right, kindly let me know what steps I should follow.

AGENTHere are the steps, in order: 1. Stay away from the power strip and any outlets near the water. Don't touch them while standing in or near the water. 2. If you can reach the breaker panel without walking through the water, switch off the power to the kitchen. If you can't get there safely, leave it and tell me. 3. Shut off the water. First try the shutoff valves under the sink by turning them clockwise. If they're stuck

CUSTOMERAll right.

CUSTOMERIf there's what, please let me know the next step.

AGENTNo problem. If the valves under

CUSTOMEROh

CUSTOMERYes, go ahead.

AGENTSorry, the line keeps breaking up. The short version is this: 1. Stay clear of the power strip and any outlets near the water. 2. Turn off the kitchen power at the breaker panel, but only if you can get there without stepping in water. 3. Turn

CUSTOMERThank you very much. Okay, what's step three?

AGENTStep three is to shut off the water. Turn the valves under the sink clockwise. If they're stuck or the leak is past them, shut off the main water valve,

CUSTOMERAll right, I'm doing that now. The water has stopped. What should I do next?

AGENTGood, that's the most important part done. Keep clear of the wet floor near the power strip, and don't use any outlets in that area until the technician has checked them. Now I'll get you set up. What's the best phone number for you, or the street address of the property, so I can pull up your account?

CUSTOMERYes, the address is 1480 Larkspur Avenue. I moved from Unit 4B to Unit 4D last month. So, it is 4D now. My phone number is 503 555 0139. No, 0193.

AGENTThanks. I'll look you up with the phone number you corrected, 503

CUSTOMERAlright, so can you let me know how much the visit will cost before I confirm the appointment?

AGENTI found your account, and you're a Copperline Care member, so the emergency callout fee for you is $99 (the regular rate is $149). The earliest emergency window is today, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. I'll put the service address down as 1480 Larkspur Avenue, Unit 4D, since you've moved from 4B. Your callback number is 503-555-0193. Do you agree to the $99 emergency callout fee for the 2:00 to 4:00 PM window today? Also, is there a gate code or any access instructions the technician needs?

CUSTOMERYes, I agree to the $99 emergency call-out fee for the 2pm to 4pm window today. The building gate code is £2719. Okay.

AGENTThanks. The gate code came through as "£2719", so I'll record it as 2719.

CUSTOMERNo.

CUSTOMERActually, the gate code is pound 2719, that is, hash 2719.

AGENTThanks for catching that. The gate code is #2719. The ticket I just opened has it as 2719, so I'll book the visit and make sure the technician has the correct code.

CUSTOMERAlright, who will be coming and how will I know when they are on the way? Also, can you give me the ticket number?

AGENTDana is your technician. They'll text your callback number 30 minutes before arriving. Here's everything on the booking: - Ticket number: CPL-58210. -

CUSTOMERGot it. CPL 58210. Thank you, Alex. Goodbye.

AGENTBefore you go, I have to correct something. The ticket has the gate code as 2719, without the pound sign. It should be #2719, and I can't edit the ticket from here. Please tell Dana the code is #2719 when they text you, so the gate isn't a problem. Your booking is: - Ticket: CPL-58210. - Address: 1480 Larkspur Avenue, Unit 4D. - Window: today, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. - Technician: Dana, who will text 503-555-0193 about 30 minutes before arriving. - Fee: $99

CUSTOMERRight. That.

AGENTSounds good. Keep away from that

AGENTpower strip and the wet floor until Dana arrives. If the water starts again or you see sparks or smell burning, call 911 or leave the unit and call us back. Take care.

Insurance

AGENTNorthgate Mutual claims, this is Alex. Are you somewhere safe right now?

CUSTOMERUh, yeah, I think so. I'm at home right now, so I guess it's safe. Sorry, my baby's crying in the background. It's been a stressful afternoon.

AGENTNo need to apologize. Take whatever time you need with your little one. I need to ask one important question first: is anyone hurt, including you, your baby, or anyone else involved in the accident? If anyone is injured or needs medical attention, please call 911 right away, and we can finish this afterward. If everyone is okay, I'll need your policy number and your last name so I can pull up your policy.

CUSTOMERThank you for checking. Nobody's hurt, I promise. It's just the car that's messed up. So, my policy number, um, it's NG4471903. No, sorry, last one is 2. And my last name is Carter. Is that alright?

AGENTThanks, I'm glad everyone is okay. I'll use the corrected number, NG4471902, and check it now.

AGENTThank

CUSTOMEROkay, uh, thank you. I just want to make sure nothing gets lost, so please double-check that's the right number. I'll wait while you pull it up.

AGENTYes, I verified it. The policy number is N-G-4-4-7-1-9-0-2 (NG4471902), under the last name Carter, for a 2021 Honda CR-V. Is that the vehicle that was in the accident? When you're ready, tell me about the accident: 1. When did it happen (date and approximate time)? 2. Where did it happen? 3. What happened? We'll get to the other driver's details and the police after that.

CUSTOMERSorry, I'm a little flustered. Let me try to get it all straight. So, the accident happened about 20 minutes ago. I don't remember the exact time, but it was pretty recent. It happened at the intersection of Southeast 5th Avenue and Alder Street. I was stopped at a red light and another car hit the back of my Honda. The bumper is crushed and the rear wheel's rubbing, so I can't drive it right now. Is that enough to start?

AGENTThat's a good start, and you're doing fine. Since the rear wheel is rubbing, the car isn't safe to drive, so I can arrange a tow. Before I do, I have a few questions: 1. Is the car still at the intersection of SE 5th Avenue and Alder Street, or did you move it? I noticed you said you're at home. 2. What's the best phone number for the tow driver to reach you? 3. What's the other driver's name, their insurer, and their license plate number? 4. Did police come to the scene? If so, do you have a report number? If you don't have all of this handy, give me what you can.

CUSTOMERSorry, I'm trying to keep it all straight. So, the car is still at the intersection, S.E. 5th Avenue and Alder Street. I came home quick just to grab some things and check on my baby, but I'll be right back over there. The best phone number for the tow driver is 810-289-80043. The other driver is Kevin Lund, insured with Pacific Shore. His plate is 7KXR214. Police didn't come, so there's no report number. Is that okay, or do you need anything else?

AGENTThank you, that covers most of it. One thing first: the phone number you gave me, 810-289-80043, has one digit too many. Could you repeat it so I get it right? I'll arrange the tow once I have it. In the meantime, I'll check your coverage.

CUSTOMEROh, sorry. I must have rattled it off too fast. It's 810-289-80043. That should be right. Please tell me that's okay. I'm just worried about getting the tow set up.

AGENTNo need to apologize. The number is still 810-289-80043, which is 11 digits, and a standard US number has 10 (three, three, four). Could you read it to me slowly, one group at a time? For example: "810," then "289," then the last four digits. I don't want the tow driver calling a wrong number and missing you. While you check, I can open the claim now so nothing gets lost. I'll set up the tow the moment I have the right number. Here's your coverage: - Collision deductible: $500. - Rental: $40

CUSTOMEROh

CUSTOMERSorry, let me get the phone number right. It's 810-289-80043. That's my cell. Please tell me that's okay. I really want to make sure the tow driver can reach me. And about the deductible. He hit me, so I shouldn't have to pay that, right? Also, you mentioned rental. Forty... Do I get a rental car? And, uh, is my premium going to go up because of this?

AGENTI can't confirm that number yet, because it has 11 digits and every time you read it, it comes out the same way. Could you check your phone's contacts or settings for your number and tell me the last four digits on their own? Or, if you'd like, I can send the tow without a callback number. The driver would meet you at the intersection, and you'll be there anyway. I'll open the claim now, since I have what I need.

CUSTOMERI'm sorry, I think I just got mixed up. My phone number is 802-898-0043. The last four digits are 0043. Please tell me that's right this time. I really don't want anything to get messed up. Yeah, I'll be at the intersection for the tow, so they can meet me there if needed.

AGENTThat works, and 802-898-0043 is a complete 10-digit number. I'll send the tow now with that as the callback number.

AGENTThe tow

CUSTOMERThank you so much! Sorry.

AGENTYou're

CUSTOMERIs the tow truck coming right away? And do you know where they're going to take the car? I just want to make sure I'm ready for when they get there.

AGENTYes, the tow is on its way. Eastside Towing has been dispatched to SE 5th Avenue and Alder Street, with an estimated arrival of about 45 minutes. They'll take the car to our partner repair shop at 9th and Morrison. They have your number, 802-898-0043, in case they need to reach you. Your claim is open, and your claim number is NGM-904417 (N-G-M, 9-0-4-4-1-7). Your adjuster is Priya Shah, who will contact you within one business day. Here's what I have on file: - Policy number: NG4471902. - Other driver's plate: 7KXR214 (Kevin Lund, Pacific Shore). Please tell me if any of that is wrong. Since you asked earlier about coverage: - Deductible: Your collision deductible is $500. I can't tell you whether you'll end up paying it, since that depends on how the claim is handled, so please ask Priya Shah. - Rental: Your policy covers $40 per day for up to 30 days, starting from the day the claim was opened. - Towing: Covered up to 25 miles. - Premium: I don't have any information about how this might affect your premium, so I can't say either way. Priya can point you to the right people. To get ready,

CUSTOMERUh-huh.

CUSTOMERSorry, is that everything I need to know for now? Just to make sure, my policy number is NG4471902. The other driver's plate is 7KXR214. Kevin Lund, Pacific Shore. Was that right? I got the claim number, NGM904417. The tow truck's coming, and I get $40 a day for a rental. I'll ask Priya Shah about the deductible and the premium. Is there anything else I should watch out for?

AGENTYes, everything you read back is correct: - Policy number: NG4471902 - Other driver: Kevin Lund, Pacific Shore, plate 7KXR214

AGENT- Claim number: NGM-904417 - Tow: Eastside Towing, about 45 minutes out, taking the car to the partner shop at 9th and Morrison - Rental: $40 per day for up to 30 days, starting from the day the claim was opened - Deductible and premium: ask Priya Shah, who will contact you within one business day. When you get back to the car, you may want to take photos of the damage and the other car, and keep Kevin Lund's information handy. Since police didn't come, photos can be helpful. Don't worry if you can't get everything. I have nothing else to add. If you remember anything else, or if anyone starts to feel hurt later, call us back. Take care of that baby, and I hope the rest of your day goes more smoothly.
